College Application Process

Seniors - I will be meeting with you in September or October to do post high school planning. College applications should be submitted before the end of October. Most colleges prefer that you apply online. However, you can pick up paper applications in the Guidance Office. Please fill out your application carefully, neatly and in pen. Remember to sign it, staple your application check to the application and bring it to the Guidance Office where it will be mailed with your transcript and ACT scores. If you apply online, you will need to print the "counselor page" so I can mail it in with your other academic records.

ACT registration packets can be picked up in the Guidance Office. You can also register online at www.actstudent.org.

Scholarships

  1. We are fortunate to have a number of local scholarships available only to Bendle/Burton students. Information and applications for these scholarships are available in the counseling office and during senior project.
  2. Colleges offer scholarships based on merit and/or need to incoming freshman. You should check with a college representative or website to see what is offered.
  3. National, regional and local scholarships are advertised to students on a bulletin board inside the Counseling Office. All applications are available in the Counseling Office and/or online.
