Mr. Handley

Welcome to Mr. Handley’s website.  I’m the School Social Worker for Bendle High School and Bendle Middle School.  My phone number is 591-2846.  I received my Bachelor of Arts degree from University of Michigan and went on to receive my Masters of Social Work from Michigan State University.  Prior to working at Bendle, I worked in treatment and child welfare at Whaley Children’s Center as a therapist and Director of Foster Care and Adoptions.  I live in the Lake Fenton area, am married to my wife Pam and have a daughter Katie.  I enjoy many outdoor recreational activities and am an avid bicyclist and snow skier. I am a member of the National Ski Patrol and have sponsored the Bendle Ski Club the last several years.

As a School Social Worker, my goal has been to help students and their families in a variety of ways to facilitate success.  Much of my efforts deal with the identification and removing of barriers to academic success.  These barriers can be emotional, mental, environmental, medical, or the school environment itself.  Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
